This is not an "eye for an eye" this is choosing not to patronize establishments that support hate and intolerance. Restaurant Industry Veteran Introduces Utah to Leading Mexican Fast-Casual Concept
IRVINE, CA – November 6, 2006 -- El Pollo Loco, the nation’s leader in citrus-marinated, flame-grilled chicken, announced today it has signed a multi-unit agreement with WKS Restaurant Corporation, owned by veteran El Pollo Loco franchisee Roland Spongberg, to open 15 El Pollo Loco locations throughout the state of Utah.
Since 1987, Spongberg has evolved from being a single restaurant operator to becoming the largest franchisee within the El Pollo Loco system. WKS Corp has grown from six restaurants in 2000 to 37 restaurants in 2006, with an additional 28 in development. Same store sales for WKS Corp restaurants were up 10 percent over 2005.
