I have started the cleaning. I have already, one hour into it, had a major revelation.
I have 16 pairs of underwear - I think that's reasonable. I can go for a fortnight without washing, not a problem.
Here is the problem. I have 40 pairs of socks.
That, my friends, is ridiculous. For when, really, was the last time you saw me wearing a pair of socks.
TO THE REFUSE PILE WITH YOU!!!!!

I have . . . four pairs of socks. If you don't count the pair I'm knitting. But I only have about ten pairs of underwear. I don't wear them often enough to warrant buying more.

Haha! I agree 40 pairs of socks in LA is probably a bit more than necessary. Good for you with the purging! Doesn't it feel great?
I honestly don't ever think I've counted my socks and underwear... I'm worried about you :)
